Letter from the President - Regarding COVID-19
Below is our president's letter posted on March 20, 2020.
Greetings in the name of our Lord!
In times of hardship and peril, HIS University has obtained TRACS full accreditation. I have witnessed how God guides us into His path and His blessing. I pray that all of you are keeping your spirits high and serving your families and communities with love and prayers. It is the role of our HIS University constituents to focus on Jesus Christ and put others first in the midst of family egoism, and continued confinement and isolation.
Due to the COVID=19 pandemic, and following California State guidelines, HIS University started Distance Education delivery in March 2020 for all classes on a temporary basis and all HIS staff and faculty began to work from home. Because California regulations are still restrictive, we will continue to implement this Distance Education for the moment. Therefore, all HIS educational programs will continue to be offered virtually through the end of the current January to May 2021 semester until further notice.
In the midst of this current challenge, student participation and eagerness to learn is as high as ever! I continue to receive positive reflections after classes and seminars online. These are helpful for reporting to TRACS, our accreditation agency and to the State of California’s Department of Education.
I believe this period is proving to be an experience which is contributing to our development as a better institution and also heighten our sense of kinship as HIS people. We will overcome this most unusual hardship and will praise the Lord until we meet, once again, face-to-face.
HIS University will always redeem our role as an umbrella for all of our HIS community members as a solid shelter for better or for worse; providing purpose, direction, and consolation to our students until HIS Kingdom comes! I pray God’s grace, blessing and wisdom for each one of you.
May the Lord bless you and each of your families!
